Our Best Merdeka Ever

When twelve-year-old Aiman and his friends set out to create the best Merdeka celebration ever in Kampung Kuantan, they imagine colourful decorations, games, food and a giant handmade lantern—but a sudden downpour threatens to wash everything away. Guided by an old lantern and a message left behind by Aiman’s grandfather, the children discover that the heart of a celebration isn’t about having a perfect plan; it’s about family, friendship, shared memories and people willing to help when things go wrong. As the whole village comes together, Aiman helps his grandmother rediscover a joyful memory from the past and learns that sometimes the most unforgettable days are the ones you never planned for.

Shadow Puppets of Petaling Street

On the rainy streets of Petaling Street in 1957, Ah Seng discovers that his grandfather has been hiding an extraordinary collection of shadow puppets connected to forgotten memories of the neighbourhood. When three mysterious puppets disappear and begin leading Ah Seng and his friends through hidden rooms, dusty warehouses, and secret corners of the old city, the children uncover a story that has waited years to be remembered. Along the way, they learn that the greatest treasures are not always things that can be bought or sold—they are the ordinary memories, friendships, and stories that give a place its heart.
