The Memory Thief
In a futuristic Kuala Lumpur where memories can be bought, sold, and stored inside tiny silver capsules, fourteen-year-old Eddy Teoh discovers that someone has stolen a piece of his past. Joined by his fearless sister Anna and a mysterious boy named Rafi, Eddy uncovers a terrifying secret: the city’s powerful central system has been secretly removing memories it considers dangerous. To restore the memories of thousands of people, Eddy must enter the hidden City Core and teach a machine something no computer could understand—that pain, mistakes, fear, laughter, and love are all part of being human. But after the memories are restored, Eddy discovers that one mysterious memory remains missing, pointing toward an even greater secret buried beneath the city.
